This project is very reminiscent of your TR7 Sprint project but at least you don't have Tirebiter chipping in!
FYI, of the 6 or 7 J/H guys that I hang out with at club meetings and LBC get togethers nobody uses their timing belt cover if they even have one, when I got my J/H in '93 the cover was already long gone. In time like others you may find it more convenient to run without it. Crack on Mate!
