Yes the Jensen-Healey has a servo or vacuum assist braking system. The vacuum is taken off a nipple on the rear of the intake manifold. Normally there would be a vacuum line from there to a white plastic fitting at the top of the servo. Even with a different motor it should have a vacuum take off somewhere on it's intake manifold. Before considering a servo rebuild I'd make sure all vacuum connections are good. Also did you ask the seller about the hard braking?
