Mark,

As I pointed out an original works fine a wider tire may require some modification to get it to fit and it could also narrow the angle of departure which could be a problem on driveways and dips. Also just because you're out of town I don't think it's going to take a couple of days to get a flat fixed, I think most tire shops can have you back on the road in a couple of hours.
