 The photo looks like the Jensen Healey "Avenger" which was how this car was described in a verbose Ebay posting about 10 years ago.

The story was that a New York waiter had told him this car could thrash Corvettes and Ferraris and was the very rare Avenger. Just the sort of automotive authority I look to when purchasing a sports car!
